Teller Directs MacBeth
Teller directs a stage version of MacBeth and gives it some Penn and Teller flash:
“There will be no shortage of blood… And” — this is a fellow who clearly understands high-school boys — “there will be no shortage of flesh.”
Accordingly, the witches will resemble animated corpses; a severed head in a helmet, complete with the gift of gab, will rise out of the celebrated “boil, boil, toil and trouble” cauldron, closely followed by a bloody newborn. And when Lady Macbeth, clad in a clingy, sexy nightgown, sleepwalks, she’ll be wonderfully awash in gore.

i HATE bloodless macbeths. the kelsey grammar production that opened in boston and ran for about 15 minutes in new york was stark, bloodless, and LAME.
