JC Penny is Weird
I got this card in the mail today from JC Penny offering me a Free Catalog!
Now, when a company wants you to have their catalog, they generally just send you one in the mail. JC Penny decided instead to mail me a card indicating that I was entitled to a free catalog and could “[t]ake this card to the jcp.com | catalog desk at your local JC Penny store within two weeks” and “receive your Free Spring/Summer Catalog”! How generous! Oh, but “hurry,” because “quantities are limited.”
Quantities are limited? Of the catalog? And you won’t just send me one in the mail? I have to go to your store? If I’m at your store, I’ll just shop at your store, there’s really little reason for me to hike all the way to your store so I can pick up a catalog and bring it home with me.
This whole card was a silly waste.

JC penny’s catalogue is pretty expensive deal…some of them, depending on the season, have more than 500 pages….so they send out the little card to you and if you are really interested you take the bait…..and they never stop coming….
looks like they have a good reason to send you the little card.

Did they reuse a maternity photo from 1977 for this year’s catalog? Or are women supposed to want to wear that?
