High Contrast Display

Why does Windows still include this “High Contrast” display as an option? Has anybody chosen this in the last twenty years? You literally can’t read the text.

    There is some sort of accessibility reason. Both my system and Mac OS X.? allow you to invert the colors with a simple keystroke. Also, if you use a particular kind of monitor (not your standard backlit LCD like you probably have), the type of which I have forgotten, it uses “less” energy because white requires turning on lights and black doesn’t.
