Nippon Ham Fighters

The Nippon Ham Fighters are my new favorite baseball team.  Do you think they fight with ham, or against ham?

Let the ham beware!

wow, Fighty sounds like the best mascot ever:
“…a bright pink pterodactyl, whose head resembled a giant leg of ham, and who sometimes rode a bicycle around the pitch…”

  2. Bob Bavasi Says:

I was SO disappointed upon discovering that the name of the team is the Fighters, sponsored by Nippon Ham, a meat-packing company.

  3. Walrus or Eggman? Says:

I was once approached by a Wal-Mart employee and asked to ‘put down the ham’ during the Christmas season when I was making fun of the type of people who would give you a canned ham gift pack for Christmas.

I would definitely pay top dollar to see a baseball team use canned gift hams instead of balls. I guess that would make them a baseham team?

  4. Mother Says:

I wonder if there’s a “put down the ham” song, like the “put down the duckie” song. I just love that song.
